Finance Officer

Macquarie Travelworld is the largest IATA approved travel agency in Fiji and has over 60 years’ experience in the travel industry. The Company's sales offices are located in Suva, Nadi and Labasa. We are currently looking for a Finance Officer to join our Finance team in Lami. The primary objective of the department is to provide efficient and reliable service for finance-related matters. The incumbent will report to the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary objective of the role is to provide a high level of financial support to the Finance Department and will include but not be limited to the following:

• Ensure creditors’ payments are done on timely basis.
• Process, reconcile overseas and local creditor account.
• Process of account invoices entry & process weekly/month end supplier payment.
• Pass journal entries and raise LPO.
• Attend to supplier queries & solving reconciliation items.
• Assisting in the month end close of the general ledger reconciliation.
• Submit and assist internal or external auditors in pursuing documents relating to the job role.

Requirements:

• Bachelor/Diploma in Accounting/Finance from a recognized institution.
• 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role will be an added advantage.
• Computer Literate - Strong Excel skills and the ability to use Microsoft Outlook and Word.
• Good communication skills, be proactive and willing to go the extra mile.
• A team player and be able to assist team members as and when required.
