Aspen Medical is seeking qualified and experienced candidate for the position of Senior Dietician. This position will support and assist in the delivery of quality nutrition management and services to meet the need of the service users and the objective of the organization.
The roles and responsibilities of this position include:
- Provide administrative, management and leadership role in the delivery of quality dietetics and nutrition services at hospital
- Provide technical support and identifying changing needs and opportunities to improve nutrition services according to approved clinical practice guideline standards and protocols.
- Provide training coaching, mentoring and continuous professional development to staff, and other health professionals
- Ensure compliance to all relevant policies, protocols and guidelines and promote quality Improvements
- Monitor and evaluate all nutrition programs and projects
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholder and submission of reports
- Actively contribute to departmental requirements, including planning, budgeting and corporate activities
- Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace and comply with instructions given in adhering to safe work procedures.
- Take reasonable care to ensure own safety and health and that of others and to abide by our duty of care provided for in the OHS policy.
- Any other reasonable duties delegated by management.
Experience and Qualifications Required
Essential
- Bachelor of Dietetics & Nutrition or similar from a recognized University
- At least 10 years related work experience in Clinical supervisory role and Hospital Food Service Administration
- Knowledge of Diet Therapy Principles and practices in the management of nutrition related diseases in public health and therapeutic diets and patient care in hospital
- Possesses extensive specialist knowledge in such areas as the nutrition support of patients undergoing special clinical management and nutrition support for patients requiring home enteral nutrition.
- Experience in coordinating and developing a clinical dietetics service including clinical pathways, models of care, establishing databases and monitoring outcomes
- Knowledge and experience in training and development of staff
- Knowledge and experience in monitoring and evaluation, risks and mitigation
- Experience and working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety, Food Safety Standards, Infection Control and Employee Relation
- Demonstrate the requisite clinical knowledge and high level of competence in the delivery of dietetic intervention and evidence-based practice
- Demonstrate the ability to lead out and bring projects / initiatives to completion
- Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work effectively within changing healthcare environment
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively evaluate information and make appropriate decision
- Strong Organizational & Administrative Skills with ability to manage and work in a resource constrained environment

- Knowledge of the Health Services Industry.
