Electrician - Iceman (Fiji) Pte Limited

About Us:

Iceman (Fiji) Pte Limited is a joint venture company between CJ Patel & Company Pte Ltd and Iceman Technologies (Pvt) Ltd Sri Lanka. Iceman represents world-renowned brands including Copeland, Geneglace (France), Bitzer (Germany) and Heatcraft (Australia), and primarily deals with the installation, assembly, sale and maintenance of prefabricated cold rooms, ice plants and refrigerated trucks.

We are seeking an experienced and technically capable Electrician to join our team based in Suva. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair work associated with commercial and industrial refrigeration, cold room, ice plant and related equipment.

• Carry out electrical installation, wiring, testing, commissioning and maintenance work for commercial and industrial equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in refrigeration systems, cold rooms, ice plants and related equipment.
• Install, maintain and repair electrical control panels, motors, starters, switches, sensors and control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics and technical documentation.
• Assist with the electrical installation and commissioning of new refrigeration and industrial projects.
• Work closely with Refrigeration Technicians, Service Engineers, Sales and Operations teams on projects and customer requirements.
• Prepare service reports, job sheets and other technical documentation as required.
• Ensure all electrical work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with applicable electrical standards, regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and provide quality and timely service.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and orderly condition.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Trade Certificate, Diploma or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Trade or a related field. Valid Wiremen’s License is desirable.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience as an Electrician in a commercial, industrial or refrigeration environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, controls, motors, starters, contactors, relays and control panels.
• Experience in electrical fault-finding, testing, installation and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of refrigeration electrical controls and systems will be an advantage.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
• Willingness to travel and work outside normal hours and work locations when required for breakdowns, installations or projects.
