SERVICE ENGINEER

Based in Suva

We are seeking an experienced and technically capable Service Engineer to join our team in Suva. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of commercial and industrial refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, while also supporting customers and the sales team with technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and undertake installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration system faults.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Carry out system inspections, testing, and performance assessments, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Provide technical support to customers and assist with identifying suitable refrigeration solutions.
• Work closely with the Sales and Operations teams on new projects and customer requirements.
• Prepare service reports, technical recommendations, quotations, and job documentation as required.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to Refrigeration Technicians and Junior Technicians.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable standards and company procedures.
• Support major refrigeration installation and project works from planning through to commissioning and handover.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through professional and timely service delivery.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Refrigeration Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years of practical experience in industrial refrigeration, cold rooms, freezer rooms, and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of refrigeration controls, compressors, condensers, evaporators, and refrigeration system troubleshooting.
• Experience in Ammonia, Freon, and commercial refrigeration systems will be an advantage.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead technical teams when required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel and work outside normal hours when required for breakdowns, installations, or projects.
