Senior Travel Consultant - Macquarie Travelworld

Macquarie Travelworld Services Pte Limited is one of Fiji's largest IATA-approved travel agencies, with over 60 years of experience in the travel industry. Our sales offices are located in Suva, Nadi, and Labasa, serving both corporate and leisure clients with excellence. We are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Travel Consultant to be based at Discount Flight Centre, Nadi.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Branch Manager, manage end-to-end domestic and international travel bookings for corporate and leisure clients.
• Provide expert advice on flights, fares, destinations, and travel requirements.
• Prepare and issue air tickets, itineraries, and travel documentation.
• Provide efficient, professional, and exceptional customer service to clients.
• Handle reservations, amendments, cancellations, refunds, and re-issues efficiently.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, airlines, suppliers, and other travel partners.
• Identify sales opportunities and actively contribute to revenue and business growth.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve travel-related issues professionally.
• Support and mentor junior Travel Consultants and assist with day-to-day team operations.
• Ensure accuracy in ticketing, invoicing, and documentation in compliance with IATA and company standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of airline schedules, fare rules, promotions, and travel regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience as a Travel Consultant.
• Strong knowledge of international fares, ticketing, and GDS systems.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills with a results-driven approach.
• Ability to manage multiple bookings and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently as well as lead and support team members.
• Proficiency in relevant airline reservation and ticketing systems will be an advantage.
