Project Description:
Alinea International is implementing two complementary Global Affairs Canada-funded initiatives in the Pacific: Pasifika WE-Guardians and EmpowerHER. Pasifika WE-Guardians operates in Fiji, Samoa and Tuvalu and focuses on strengthening climate resilience and nature-positive value chains led by women, including women of Indigenous heritage. EmpowerHER operates in Solomon Islands, Tonga and Kiribati and focuses on strengthening prevention and response to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), reinforcing the capacity of women’s rights organizations, service providers and community-based systems, while improving coordination and accountability. Both projects use gender-responsive, participatory and locally led approaches and require robust, coordinated Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) support for adaptive management, partner capacity strengthening and evidence-based reporting.
About the Role:
The MEL Coordinator will ensure the delivery of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) activities, knowledge management and reporting for the Pasifika WE-Guardians and EmpowerHER projects. Under the direction of the Program Managers and the technical guidance of the MEL Specialists in Canada, the MEL Coordinator will support the implementation of the projects’ MEL plans, reporting and learning events. The MEL Coordinator will support the program team in compiling evidence, data and information for performance management and learning. As part of diverse teams, the MEL Coordinator will coordinate MEL activities across multiple project sites and implementing partners.
