The Pacific Subregional Office in Suva, Fiji (SPSO) was established to assist its Headquarters in the implementation of projects and programs, in project processing, country programming, and economic and sector work. It also coordinates ADB’s activities with other resident diplomatic and donor missions, NGOs, academic institutions, local think tanks, private sector and other members of the civil society. Description of Responsibilities The Operations Assistant will provide necessary support in office administration, coordination and operational administrative support aspect of portfolio management and country programming Reporting Arrangement. The position will report to the Designated International Staff and senior National Staff Selection Criteria Specific criteria include Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at the required level. Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields. Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is required. Good computer skills with sound knowledge of common word-processing, spreadsheets and graphics software used in ADB. Good understanding of the role and function of the office and a good general understanding of the organization’s purpose. Ability to work with individuals from different cultural/national background.
