Lateef & Lateef is one of the oldest established law firms in Fiji having been in operation since 1970 and having its original office located on the first floor of Honson Building on Renwick Road in the heart of Suva. Lateef & Lateef was established by its founding partner Mr Abdul Lateef. Mr Abdul Lateef was one of the first local lawyers to qualify and return to Fiji to practice. He was subsequently joined by Mr Feroze (Bob) Lateef (now Senior Consultant) in 1972, then by Mr Haroon Lateef in 1977 and Mr Shazran (Caesar) Lateef in 1987 after they had been admitted to the Bar. All are Australian Graduates.
With over 40 years of experience in the legal profession both in Fiji and Australia, Lateef & Lateef have an unwritten policy of providing efficient and timely service without compromising the firm’s reputation, with the assistance of a dynamic team of loyal and dedicated personnel. The firm handles 10-15 major clients, many of whom are multinationals and/or large local companies.
Prior to establishing Lateef & Lateef, Mr Abdul Lateef was the Senior Partner of Cromptons, the then largest law firm in Fiji. Mr Feroze (Bob) Lateef currently resides in Brisbane, Australia and is a Senior Partner in the firm Tobin King Lateef.
Mr Shazran (Caesar) Lateef and Ms Bhavna Narayan are the current partners of Lateef & Lateef.
Lateef & Lateef’s office was relocated to their own premises, situated at 14 Denison Road, Suva in early 2000.
