The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) is an international non-govemment organisation committed to working with communities, government and other partners, to protect Fiji‘s biodiversity and natural resources through sound management practices. The WCS Fiji Office is recruiting a GENDER OFFICER to support our work in the Vatu-i-Ra Seascape and other parts of Fiji. Position details are below. A degree in Gender Studies or Gender and Development, with 5 years‘ experience working on gender and social inclusion in Fiji. Experience in gender mainstreaming, gender inclusion in fisheries management and/or community development is an advantage. Applicant should have a sound knowledge of Fiji‘s laws and policies on gender equality, and systems of governance. Strong verbal and written skills in English are required, with the ability to speak the iTaukei language an advantage. Applicant will be required to work in a team, complete workplan deliverables, and be well-organised to meet multiple deadlines. Position is for one year with the possibility of extension. The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) is an international non-government organisation committed to working with communities, government and other partners, to protect Fiji’s biodiversity and natural resources through sound management practices. The WCS Fiji Office is recruiting a position with the following qualifications. The Project Coordinator will oversee a regional project focused on marine management and community livelihoods. Masters or Ph.D. in environmental science, policy or natural resource management, with some social science skills preferred. Minimum of 5 years‘ experience with project management associated with natural resource management programs. Experience in protected areas, fisheries, livelihoods and/or sustainable financing an advantage. Experience with donor reporting requirements, particularly from European donors. Must demonstrate strong verbal and written skills in English to international standards. Position is fixed term for three years. Application Position is fixed term for three years.
