Reporting to the Shift Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring containers are maintained in compliance with export  requirements, and general cleanliness and up-keep of the fleet area. RESPONSIBILITIES: Cleans wash bays, garages, infrastructure and maintains the yard and other facility related tasks as assigned. Washes and cleans containers in line with export condition requirements Records container numbers, checks conditions of containers per checklist provided and assigns containers to wash bay or repairs as required Assists in pallet loading and material transfers between containers as required, using equipment provided Supports the Department to achieve Targets Ensures equipment and work stations are kept clean in accordance to 5S standards before, during and after every shift QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Form 6 pass with previous experience in similar field 1-2 years’ experience operating equipment in a Logistic operation is an advantage A valid group 9 driving license is an advantage Successful applicants must be a team player, able to work with minimum supervision and should be available to work on shift basis, reliable and punctual. Reporting to the Lead Mechanic, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, and repairing fleets tyre stock in line with manufacturing and safety requirements for safe operations of vehicles. RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains fleet tyre stock and ensures accurate daily inventory control  Prepares and submits monthly tyre report to Lead Mechanic  Maintains and ensures proper storage for new tyres as per manufacturer's instructions and conducts proper discharging of old and unrepairable tyres Inspects truck and trailer tyres for signs of wear and tear including areas for potential failure hazard  Operates tyre machine and carries out tyre fittings as required Ensures tyre bay and surroundings are maintained and cleaned in accordance to 5S standards before and after work.  Assists mechanics in performing mechanical diagnoses and repairs on Trucks, trailers and forklifts as and when required QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Form 6 pass  Prior knowledge and experience in using tyre related equipment and repairs  A valid group 2 license  Experience in automotive mechanical and/or electrical diagnosis and/or repairs is an advantage Successful applicants must be a team player, able to work with minimum supervision and should be available to work on shift basis, reliable and punctual.
