Pacific Fine Foods was established in 1994 by the husband and wife team of Chedly and Ellen. They started the first fresh, dry and frozen pasta manufacturing plant in Fiji. Their pasta made a hit in the Fiji market with the hotels and tourism industry because they fused the local flavors and ingredients into traditional pasta varieties. This resulted in pasta new and different form other more traditional Italian pasta and was well received by both the tourists and locals in Fiji. Some of their creations included for example, chicken coconut ginger tortellini, spicy papaya curry ravioli, rourou coconut ginger ravioli and pumpkin cannelloni. The tourists visiting Fiji were finally able to taste the local Fiji flavors in a format they were very familiar with – pasta.
