As we proudly transition into the InterContinental Luxury & Lifestyle Collection, The Grand Pacific Hotel Suva invites you to be part of its historic transformation. We are seeking a talented, passionate, and driven Maintenance Attendant to support our team and to deliver world-class experience.

Reporting directly to Chief Engineer, as a Maintenance Attendant your duties will include but not limited to the following:

• Carry out daily repair and maintenance work across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house (plumbing, painting, carpentry, basic electrical and general repairs).
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs to ensure all equipment and facilities are operating safely and efficiently.
• Respond promptly to guest and colleague maintenance requests, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
• Support the Engineering team with project work, room maintenance programs and hotel upkeep.
• Maintain tools, equipment and workshop areas in a safe and tidy condition.
• Follow all safety, health and environmental procedures and report any hazards or incidents immediately.

What we need from you

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and friendly individual who is willing to learn and build an extraordinary career within a global company. The ideal candidate will have:

• Have previous experience in a similar maintenance / handyman / trades role.
• Holds basic knowledge and skills in at least one of the following: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, air-conditioning/refrigeration or general building maintenance.
• Is physically fit and able to perform manual tasks and work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• Demonstrates attention to detail and takes pride in the quality of their work.
• Has good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Is committed to delivering a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and colleagues.
