The position is responsible for managing the labour mobility through volunteerism to support employment growth in Fiji.
Key Responsibilities
The position will achieve its purpose through the following:
1. Manage the overall operations of the Fiji Volunteer Service (FVS) through the enforcement of the National Employment Centre Act 2009 and its subsidiary regulations.
2. Facilitate the implementation and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
3. Drafting of Memorandum of Agreement (MoA’s), cabinet and policy papers for FVS
4. Collation and analysis of data and provision of advice to management team on any information pertaining to Fiji Volunteer Service.
5. Facilitate awareness for employers, community and internal and external stakeholders
6. Actively contribute to all corporate requirements of the Ministry, including planning, budgeting and human resource activities where required.
Knowledge & Experience
- 1. At least 3 years’ work experience in a similar role
- 2. Practical knowledge of relevant labour laws and subsidiary regulations and their application.
- 3. Demonstrated ability in the drafting and formulation of policy papers
- 4. Understanding of the Quality Management System
- 5. Understanding of labour market mobility programmes locally and internationally
