Senior System Analyst (Ministry of Employment, Productivity & Industrial Relations)

Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

The position is responsible to ensure high standards of professionalism, efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of key projects. Complete projects within timeframe and budget as specified in the Operational Plan of the Ministry. Responsible for optimum availability of network resource.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

The position will achieve its purpose through the following responsibilities:

1. Implement the ICT activities highlighted in the ministry’s strategic Plan

2. Develop and implement policies aligned with the strategic plan.

3. Enable business continuity, and the delivery of quality outcomes aligned with individual and business objectives.

4. Develop and implement plan to cater for assigned projects.

5. Actively contribute to Ministry and corporate requirements including, planning, budgeting and human resource and reform activities where required.

 

Knowledge & Experience

  1. 1. At least five years’ experience working in an IT environment.
  2. 2. Practical, working knowledge of Information and Communication Technology functions
  3. 3. Understanding of the Strategic Development Plan and Information and Communication Technology Act of 2009.

 

Skills & Abilities

  1. 1. Excellent communication skills and the ability to tactfully deal with issues
  2. 2. Ability to follow guidelines and meet set timeframes, in particular with project administrative activities
  3. 3. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively within a team environment
  4. 4. Service oriented approach, with a commitment to supporting the operational and corporate environment of the organisation.
