What is the job?

Keeping our Resort running smoothly is vital to our guest's experience – as the Painter/Polisher, you’ll keep everything looking sharp. From simple repairs to forward-thinking for the next day. With naturally high standards to support our own, you’ll approach every task with dedication and pride.

 

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will focus primarily on maintaining the presentation of paintwork throughout the Resort in accordance with company standards and be able to demonstrate awareness and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures. From time to time there may also be a requirement to assist with other repair work and participate in the Resort’s preventative maintenance programs.

This role would suit an efficient self-starter who is able to work with limited supervision and has a general trade background. The Resort offers a fast paced environment and for the successful candidate will provide an excellent training ground for you to develop your competence in various types of engineering and general maintenance.

Every day is different, but mostly:

The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who can communicate effectively with all team members, stakeholders and guests who has an excellent eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks within conflicting deadlines.

We are looking for a qualified painter who has at least 2 to 3 years’ experience in the trade.  Experience in general maintenance and/or repair experience with a good all-round knowledge of maintenance procedures would be a bonus.

You will be a proactive individual who can communicate effectively with all team members, stakeholders, and guests and has an excellent eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines.

What we need from you:
  • Similar experience in a luxury hotel and/or resort.
  • Relevant qualifications/certifications in painting, polishing and general maintenance works.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
