Marine Technician/Mechanic

Goolma Ltd which operates Paradise Cove Resort, Blue Lagoon Beach Resort & Octopus Resort is seeking applications from a range of qualified and experienced professional candidates for the following position:

About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Technician that is considered as a strong all-rounder in marine repairs and maintenance to bring this knowledge and expertise to our team and fleet of marine vessels servicing our Yasawa resorts.

The group consists of 3 resorts in the Yasawa Islands, Octopus Resort. Paradise Cove Resort & Blue Lagoon Beach Resort. The group has a fleet of boats at each resort for transfers, diving, marine activities and transfers to and from Nadi.

What you'll do

We require a technician with experience in Outboard Engine servicing and repairing of four stroke petrol engines, gearbox repairs and knowledge in general electrical would be desirable.

Previous work on Suzuki 4 stroke engines is preferred as well as a good working knowledge of 2 stroke engines.

The role will require you to:

·       Work independently and as part of a growing team

·       Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair outboard marine engine systems

·       Maintain a high level of workmanship

·       Drive vessels, test and handover completed work to have boats back in service.

·       Ensure procedures and protocols are adhered to

·       Assist with training

About You

·       Great communication skills with exceptional English

·       Experience with inboard and outboard motors

·       Current car and boat licence

·       Minimum 2 years experience in similar role

·       Critical thinking

·       Problem solving skills
