The Role 

Pepper Advantage Hub (Fiji) is seeking15 motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Trainee Test Analysts. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation and review of Test Plans, based on information from project documents, ensuring they are clear and of a standard suitable for internal use and client sharing.
  • Develop an understanding of internal mortgage servicing systems to identify potential impacts of system changes by working closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and End Users.
  • Learn to write Test Scripts using established testing techniques, ensuring prerequisites, steps, and expected results are clearly outlined.
  • Execute Test Scripts to confirm system changes, and accurately report testing status, defects, and potential risks during daily and weekly meetings.
  • Raise and log defects with detailed information to assist Developers in diagnosing and resolving issues.
  • Support the business during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by helping with environment setup, investigating and resolving issues, and documenting defects.
  • Maintain evidence of completed testing through well-organized Test Closure Documentation.
  • Actively participate in identifying and suggesting improvements to the testing process, sharing ideas and proposed plans with management and the team.

Skills and experience required:

  • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Software Development or Software Engineering. Final-year students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Candidate needs to be flexible in terms of working hours (Ideally from 8 pm to 4.30 am FJT).
  • A basic understanding of formal testing approaches.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team with diverse skills and backgrounds.
  • A proactive and responsible attitude towards completing assigned tasks.
  • Flexibility to adapt and shift focus to high-priority tasks when needed.
  • Curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Basic understanding of programming or scripting.
  • An understanding of regulatory and legislative impacts on business processes (training will be provided).
  • Commitment to upholding company policies, procedures, and standards in all work activities.
