The Role:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Officer to manage incoming payments, customer account updates, and support daily cash flow. You’ll also assist with billing, collections, and reporting for both domestic and international clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate invoices and client account statements
- Record and track all payments (online, Mpaisa, cheques)
- Maintain and update accounts receivable files
- Reconcile and update client accounts
- Follow up on outstanding payments via email, phone, or visits
- Share Statements of Account (SOA) with clients
- Prepare aged debtors reports and assist with month-end close
- Submit weekly collection forecasts
- Support international billing tasks as needed
- Identify and correct billing data errors
- Help prepare daily cash flow reports
- Perform general office tasks as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (QuickBooks experience is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Able to manage deadlines and work under pressure
- Professional, reliable, and discreet with sensitive information
