Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Management
  Lead and oversee the Engineering, Grounds, and Farms Department, ensuring efficient operations and teamwork across various functions. Provide strategic direction and inspire your team to deliver outstanding results in service, safety, and operational performance.
• Budget & Cost Management
  Monitor and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maximizing performance. Lead cost-saving initiatives, analyze expenditures, and ensure efficient use of resources without compromising quality.
• Capital Projects & Infrastructure
  Oversee capital expenditure submissions and projects, from planning to implementation. Ensure all infrastructure projects are executed on time, within budget, and in compliance with local regulations and sustainability goals.
• Maintenance & Operations
  Ensure the continuous, effective maintenance of all resort facilities, equipment, physical structures, and landscaping. Proactively identify potential issues and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime and reduce repair costs.
• Compliance & Safety
  Uphold national codes and regulations to ensure compliance across all engineering and maintenance operations. Manage and enforce resort safety, emergency, and maintenance programs to safeguard guests, staff, and resort assets.
• Sustainability Initiatives
  Contribute to sustainability goals by driving energy-saving projects, waste reduction, and environmentally responsible practices across the resort’s operations.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience: Proven experience as a Chief Engineer or in a senior engineering role within the hospitality or resort industry, with a strong background in facility management, maintenance, and project management.
• Skills: Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and performance. Excellent project management, budget management, and communication skills.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of engineering, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Knowledge of national and international safety standards, environmental sustainability practices, and resort operations.
• Qualifications: Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related fields) and certifications in safety and compliance.
