Graduate Trainee - Accounts
Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist in compiling balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure all reports comply with company policies and accounting standards.
- Record financial transactions in accounting software or spreadsheets.
- Maintain accurate ledgers and journals for various accounts.
- Process invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Help reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Identify discrepancies and resolve issues in collaboration with senior accountants.
- Assist in reconciling inter-company accounts.
- Assist with internal and external audit preparations.
- Organize and provide required documentation for audit purposes.
- Respond to auditors' queries and assist in resolving any audit findings.
- Assist in monitoring department expenditures and comparing them to budgeted amounts.
- Help analyze variances and report discrepancies to senior accounting staff.
- Track and categorize business expenses to ensure proper allocation.
- Assist in preparing financial analysis reports for management.
- Help with the analysis of financial data to identify trends and performance indicators.
- Support the development of financial forecasting models.
- Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed.
- Help with filing and organizing financial records.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks assigned by the manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Final year university students are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, intercompany transactions, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and subsidiaries.
