Maintenance supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking experienced maintenance supervisors to provide leadership and direction to our maintenance delivery teams in Fiji and other Pacific Nations..

Based in Nadi on site, the roles will maintain and support large building maintenance programs across secure Defence and police sites. The role will work closely with subcontractors delivering maintenance and manage and oversee all works on site. The role will act as the link between our client and our subcontractors to make sure the facilities are maintained and delivered safely and on time.

As part of the role, we anticipate travel to other islands is required to support the inspection of wharves and engagement with local subcontractors.

Day to day you will be responsible for:

• Managing resources including subcontractors, plant, suppliers and materials
• Supporting and mentoring the maintenance teams and the administration support in Vanuatu
• Establishing, managing and developing strong relationships with customers and clients
• Ensuring commitment to zero harm, health and safety and environmental compliance
• Managing maintenance activities on site and logging them in our works management system.
• Checking the quality of works on site and reporting any issues and working with the subcontractors to deliver works on time and on budget.

This is a key role and you will need:

• The ability to drive safety and quality works through operational excellence on time and to budget
• Broad engineering knowledge with demonstrated experience across a diverse range of engineering and building assets for maintenance and minor construction works
• High level of emotional intelligence to work with and build strong relationships with employees, clients, subcontractors, stakeholders and walks the talk
• Demonstrated history in developing a culture of Zero Harm
• To pass a pre-employment drug test & medical is required as well as police security clearance.
