Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

We have the following vacancies at our beautiful resort in Samoa!
 
  • Chef: Sous Chef or Chef de partie
 Must have experience working at a resort or busy restaurant for 3 years minimum.
 
Key Responsibilities for Sous Chef:
  • Food-preparation expert who assists the executive chef in a restaurant.
  • Preparing dishes, managing kitchen operations, scheduling employees, tracking inventory, ordering supplies, training new kitchen employees, and handling administrative duties.
  • Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your specialty
  • Managing and training any demi-chef de parties or commis working with you

Key Responsibilities for chef de partie

  • Helping the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus
  • Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins

Offering room and board plus salary based on experience and position held.

Process to Qualify:

Requirements for position and temporary residency for Samoa.

  • Must be from a country to get a visa easily for Samoa.
  • Must obtain a current police clearance 
  • Current medicals for temporary residency.
  • Commit to a 2-year minimum contract
  • Minimum 2 Current references that we can verify.
  • Must have experience in hospitality at least 3 years minimum
