Carpenters Motors - Car Carrier Driver

Carpenters Motors, a division of Carpenters Fiji Pte Limited and a recognized leader in the Motoring Industry in Fiji, is seeking applications from interested candidates for the role of Car Carrier Driver to be based at Carpenters Motors Walubay, Suva. Responsibilities:

• Safely load and unload vehicles onto the car carrier, ensuring proper securing and protection during transportation.
• Drive vehicles to their designated destinations, following predetermined routes and schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the carrier and vehicles to ensure safe operation.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating the carrier.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle transportation, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks on the carrier as needed, such as refueling and minor repairs.
• Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times, providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

• Form 7 pass
• Valid driver's license Group 2, 6 & 7 with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience of 3-5 years in similar role.
• Knowledge regulations and safety standards for transporting vehicles.
• Excellent driving skills, with the ability to operate a car carrier safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to ensuring the security of transported vehicles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
