PROJECT SUMMARY
Nathan is implementing the 5-year United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Digital Connectivity and Cybersecurity Partnership (DCCP)-Pacific Activity across 12 Pacific Island Countries. The Activity is based in Suva, Fiji, and will improve digital access and connectivity and support the efficient delivery and use of digital services throughout Pacific Island Countries. DCCP-Pacific seeks to improve the digital ecosystem by (1) improving broadband access, resulting in more secure and affordable services; (2) amplifying successful public-private initiatives, resulting in a strengthened regulatory and legal framework for regional alignment; (3) advancing digital government services; and (4) enhancing essential digital skills of civil servants, officials, and citizens, supporting the next generation of ICT specialists.
Role Overview
Nathan is seeking a passionate and motivated Project Officer – Digital Skills & Literacy to join our team in supporting digital literacy and skills enhancement across the Pacific region. This role is ideal for a graduate student or a young professional with a strong interest in digital education and project management. The successful candidate will play a key role in training delivery, coordination, and overall project management, contributing to the empowerment of marginalized and underserved communities, including youth, women, persons with disabilities, and those in remote areas.
The position will be based in Suva, Fiji, for three to four years. The position will report directly to the Objective 4 Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Objective 4 Lead and the Cybersecurity Specialist in coordinating activities under Objective 4.
Conduct and facilitate digital skills Training sessions, with a particular focus on virtual training formats.
Engage with Regional and Local partners, including schools, community organizations, and technology providers, to enhance the reach and impact of training programs.
Foster strong partnerships to support and expand training initiatives.
Assist with the development of course curriculum and training modules to support digital skills across the Pacific
Serve as a liaison between the Technical Team and operations team, ensuring effective communication and coordination across all activities.
Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, concept notes, and agendas. Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of activities under Objective 4.
Work closely with MEL Specialist and Communications Specialist to assist in tracking project deliverables, reporting on progress, and maintaining project documentation.
Oversee the administration and technical setup of virtual training platforms, ensuring seamless delivery of training sessions and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
Provide administrative support for meetings, events, and workshops, including scheduling, logistics, and reporting.
Ensure smooth and efficient execution of project-related activities.
Ensure that all Objective 4 activities are inclusive, focusing on gender equality, social inclusion, and accessibility for diverse communities, including women, persons with disabilities, youth, LGBTIQ+ communities, and those in remote areas.
Continuously evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of virtual training programs, incorporating feedback and best practices to improve engagement and learning outcomes.
