Bus Body Builder - Industrial & Marine Engineering Pte Limited

Industrial and Marine Engineering PTE Limited (IMEL), a division of Carpenters Group of Companies, is seeking applications from interested candidates for the Bus Body Builder position to be based in Suva. If you believe you are ready to join our dynamic team we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Cut, shape, glaze and spray-paint metal parts
• Fabricating, Welding, screwing, riveting and bolting components together to form finished products
• Cutting, shaping and grinding sheet metal and plastic to create panels
• Build vehicle frames
• Assemble and join parts to the frame, such as floor, roof and side panels
• Install electrical wiring
• Attaching axles, suspension assemblies, steering columns and brakes.
• Fit additional parts to vehicle bodies, such as hydraulic lifts and refrigeration equipment
• Repair, replace and modify frames and parts
• Install or repair upholstery.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in bus body fabrication work
• Knowledge of vehicle building materials and equipment
• Welding and collision repair skills, including the ability to cut and shape metal
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
