Funeral Director's Assistant/ Funeral Directors

We are Auckland’s one stop Funeral Service providers established by Sam Achary and his family. Ann’s Funeral Home & Onsite Cremations has been assisting families during bereavements for the past 20 years. We are looking for a full time Funeral Director’s Assistant and Funeral Directors to join our team here at Ann’s Funeral Home & Onsite Cremations. You will provide support to Funeral Director and the senior funeral directing staff.

Job duties include but not limited to the following.

• Meeting the grieving family, answering questions, providing information as instructed by the Funeral Director.
• Assisting with funeral arrangements such as prepare all documents related to cremations eg invoicing, death certificate, legal paperwork for cremation.
• Preparing Presentation and coordinating sound systems, stereo/video system video streaming as required.
• Usher people, conduct funeral services, park cars, and fulfil any transportation needs as required by the Funeral Director.
• Dressing up deceased, Ash Preparation, conducting Cremation Process
• Answering phones and general housekeeping duties.
• Assist Funeral Director with all duties as required.
• Any other duties as required by supervisor.

Ideal candidate should have:

1. Relevant qualification in business or 2-3 years’ work experience in similar role.
2. Previous experience is an advantage but not essential.
3. Must be able to work rostered duties, including after hours and weekends
4. Have a full clean driver’s licence.
