Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

Navini Island Resort is looking for a Financial Clerk who will be responsible for the smooth operation of financial transactions and record keeping. The role involves maintaining day-to-day financial records, data entry, procurement, processing transactions, undertaking general administration tasks, and assisting with financial reports under the guidance of the Administrative Manager.


·        Check, process, record, and action all payments and expense claims received

·        Enter and maintain records on the finance package (MYOB) and Property Management System

·        Reconcile financial records, investigate and resolve any discrepancies

·        Maintain accurate and organised financial records

·        Procurement services including preparing purchase orders, tracking inventory levels, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods

·        Track, categorize, and monitor expenses, and assist in identifying areas for cost savings

·        Assist in preparing financial reports and statements

·        Assist with the collection and compiling of data

·        Undertake general admin tasks such as answering the phone, sending emails, and maintaining office equipment

·        Supporting the Guest Relations Specialist with guest services and payments

·        Remain up to date and compliant with all organisational policies and procedures.                                             

Job Requirements:

·        Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years of previous experience in a position requiring accounting, communication and customer service skills

·        Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and financial transactions

·        Diploma in Accounting, Computing or similar

·        Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload, manage completing tasks and meet deadlines

·        Proficiency in working with Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word and Excel

·        Attention to detail

·        Have a high sense of responsibility and confidence

·        Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask

·        Motivated and enthusiastic to learn

·        Have excellent communication skills

This position offers a competitive starting salary, island based with accommodation and meals provided. Days off arrangements are flexible.
