Licensed Electrician

We are looking to recruit a Licensed Electrician to be based at Kokomo Private Island, Kadavu.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify defects and the need for adjustment or repair in order to minimize inconvenience for guests.

·       Conduct Preventative maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.

·       Install and maintain wiring, control and lighting systems

·       Ensure electrical loads are balanced and distributed efficiently

·       Follow safety protocols to prevent electrical accidents and hazards

·       Stay up to date with electrical codes and regulations to ensure compliance.

·       Read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams

·       Follow design specification when installing systems.

·       Identify and diagnose electrical issues in various systems, repair damaged or faulty electrical components, test and verify whether the repairs have resolved the issue.

·       Attend to guest complaints as well as complaints form other departments

·       Able to communicate effectively with guest and co-workers

·       Carry out job assignments given by the Chief Engineer or designate, as business demands

·       Maintain logged records of all equipment as directed by the engineering Maintenance Manager, Assistant & Chief Engineer.

·       Maintain High level of Hospitality and guest concern. Practice at all times “Empowerment” and do whatever it takes to satisfy the guest.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

·       A valid Electrical Wireman’s Licence.

·       At least five years of hands-on experience

·       Good at Fault Detection and troubleshooting

·       Work on shift including odd hours with minimum supervision

·       Be a team player and able to manage multiple jobs.

·       Must have approachable mannerism while maintaining a professional attitude

·       Valid driving license is mandatory

·       Other safety training certification will be an advantage
