Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

The Role:

The purpose of the Senior HR Operations Specialists/HR Operations Manager will be to deliver accurate, efficient and automated HR Operational processes to the business.

Key Responsibilities: -                                                                                                                                       

Payroll and benefits Oversight

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate payroll processes for the business, including oversight and approval for payroll cycles.
  • Oversee benefit provision and administration to ensure a consistent and efficient approach, in addition to identifying cost efficiency opportunities as appropriate.
  • Developing and implementing new, compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedure - ensuring all programs, policies, and procedures comply with current legislation. (Pension, Health Insurance, S&S, Cycle to work, Company Car)
  • Undertaking periodic compensation benchmarking.
  • Manage the vendor relationship with payroll and benefits providers.
  • Evaluate and promote Employee Benefits Programme

HR Compliance and Risk management

  • Manage the HR Risk Register identifying risks, implementing controls, and educating the HR team on them.
  • Ensure external audits are completed on time and to the right standard. Complete periodic internal quality audits to ensure accuracy of HR operations processes.
  • To be confirmed: Oversee the Fitness & Probity and Minimum Competency processes, including the MCC register and CPD data and reporting and fitness and probity procedures and compliance.
  • Manage providers, particularly Institute of Bankers to support APA Readiness
  • Deliver the Individual Accountability Framework compliance requirements.

HR Operations effectiveness

  • Working in conjunction with the HR Information Specialist, ensure comprehensive, strategic people reporting and analytics that is accurate and timely and aligned with the people objectives of the business and suitable for various forum (Gender Pay Gap Report etc)
  • Continuously streamline HR operations processes to reduce risk and ensure they are lean, effective, and compliant.
  • Continuously review options to automate HR operations processes and maximise the HRIS systems functionality.
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are streamlined and kept up to date for HR Operations activities
  • Update HR policies where required
  • Ensure positions descriptions are kept up to date

Performance and Salary Planning

  • Lead and deliver the annual salary and bonus review process for the business, liaising with the HR and Finance teams to ensure consistent approach and achievement of deadlines and budgets.
  • Undertake periodic compensation review as required
  • Manage the performance management cycles for the business through communication, manager education, consistency of ratings, policy, reporting and analysis.
  • Lead talent development process if required, including succession planning.

HR Projects

  • Lead and/or support HR Project Initiatives to support the overall Pepper business strategy

Skills and experience required:

  • At least 5 years of experience in developing and implementing HR Operations across multiple geographies
  • Experience in creating, reviewing and implementing HR operational processes to support every aspect of the employee life cycle
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills in addition to and stakeholder management abilities
  • Exposure to managing HR processes, payroll, insurance and benefits
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple/competing priorities
  • Experience in working with remote teams
  • Resilient to change, respectful of different work styles and approaches, and be able to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in changing environments.
  • Flexibility in working hours - Irish hours
