Senior Network Engineer Based in Suva

Salary Range: $75K – $110K FJD (Total Package — based on experience)

Position Overview

In this full-time position, you will be responsible for liaising with customers to gather and document requirements, designing networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN), implementing, testing, and ensuring ongoing monitoring of the solution.

You will be experienced with Cisco ASR and NCS routers, Cisco Catalyst and Juniper switches, Cisco and Cambium equipment for wireless networking, Internet routing using BGP &OSPF, and have an in-depth understanding of VLANs, VRFs, MPLS, SR and L2/L3 VPNs.

As this is a senior role, you will be expected to work independently while producing a high-quality of work. You must be comfortable working with all levels of staff, from mentoring junior staff to conversing with C-level executives from multi-national companies.

As part of this role, you will be required to join the on-call roster and travel as necessary to complete any assigned tasks.

Candidate Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for a team member that meets the following criteria:

• Experience on Cisco ASR and NCS range of routers
• Comprehensive experience with Internet routing using BGP & OSPF
• In-Depth understanding of VLANs, VRFs, MPLS, SR and L2/L3VPN’s
• Experience on Cisco Catalyst and Juniper switches
• Wireless experience, preferably on Cambium Networks and Cisco
• Experience in providing consulting and advice on strategic networking requirements
• Comfortable working with all levels of staff within an organisation, including C-level
• Ability to work independently and problem solve in complex environments
• Willingness/ability to travel
• Preferably some Linux programming experience
