Main goal

Lead customer service for key clients/partners of airfreight business, maintain compliance with customer expectations and policies as well as effectively manage import clearance and forwarding of air cargo in compliance with PNG legal requirements, Company goals and procedures, industry quality standards of the service while maintaining customer satisfaction at the high level. Manage sales operations and contribute to revenue growth by strengthening relationship with existing clients as well as gaining new customers from the market.

 Reporting to the Regional Airfreight Manager you will be responsible for:

·Manage compliance of customer service group with client’s expectations, delivery timelines, assigned KPIs and contract terms for key accounts, conduct trainings and knowledge upskilling exercises for CS agents

·Step in to assist customer service agents in resolution of complex import processing tasks or special client’s requests by coordinating freight processing end-to-end and enable effective interaction between internal business units for ex. brokerage, accounting, warehouse, delivery team etc.

·Monitor and comply with reporting requirements on customer service KPIs to management, partners, clients in line with contract terms or agreed plan

·Support development, maintenance and execution of Company business growth strategies and continuously search for new business opportunities, conduct market studies as directed by management

Identify and build audience in social networks, newspapers, magazines and create brand materials for promo campaigns

Lead participation in tenders for airfreight services, gather required data and provide responses within the assigned deadlines to capture arising opportunities

Maintain rate cards per each client up to date, analyze reasonableness of the prices and suggest changes to management to maximize revenue/margins while remaining competitiveness

·Attend to quotation requests from customers in a timely manner and provide analytics back to management on gained quotes

· Provide professional advice on aspects of customs clearance in PNG, applicability of import/export permits, dangerous goods transportation requirements, domestic freight forwarding etc.

·Ensure accurate invoicing of clients by customer service team and timeliness of customer payments within agreed terms and conditions

Collect client’s feedback and build up business case for process changes if required

 

The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate that he or she has the following skills, qualifications, and experience during the interview process

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics or similar

·5+ years of business experience in logistics, preferably within the airfreight industry, and/or sales and marketing

· Knowledgeable in customs clearance process, import/export, freight forwarding and air cargo management (IATA courses certificates would be a bonus)

Strong customer service orientation and high attention to details

 High degree of professionalism and positive attitude

 Resilient character to work in challenging environment and under tight deadlines

·Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written communication, public speaking, conflict management and negotiation

·Sound computer skills and ability to effectively utilize Microsoft office applications

Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Driving license
