Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

Reporting to the Team Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and operational support to the Utilities team to optimize capacity of utilities plant and its auxiliaries.


  •  Monitors the availability and carries out preventative maintenance ensuring optimum capacity of Utilities plant and its auxiliaries, but not limited to Generators, Microturbines, chillers, compressors, and AHU 
  • Sets up machines at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order 
  • Maintains and cleans machines before and after each shift 
  • Monitors machines during every process to ensure optimum output 
  • Troubleshoots problems during machine operation 
  •  Maintains activity logs : by managing periodic checks on output and condition, also raise work orders and work requests in MEX 
  • Performs Safety checks on the machine 
  • Flexibility to operate and maintain all utilities equipment. 
  • Responds to and correct operational issues including elementary maintenance. 
  • Escalates issues beyond elementary repair capabilities and assist Team Leader Utilities as required to effect repairs and maintenance 
  • Responds to and corrects issues concerning 7s across Utilities Building.


  • Trade Certificate in Fitting & Machining/Electrical Engineering or Plant Maintenance or related field or 5 years experience as a maintenance fitter 
  • At least 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment 
  • Extensive understanding of diesel power generation 
  • Knowledge in the application of using 
  • Group 2 & 9 driving license is preferred
