Technician - Heavy Mobile Unit

Hiways Stabilizers requires qualified and experienced Heavy Mobile Plant mechanics for immediate start.
The applicants must be experienced, highly motivated, heavy plant tradespersons and be able to work unsupervised at a very high level of competence.

Key Duties:

• Maintain a safety-first attitude
• Primarily include maintenance, repair and service work to a variety of equipment and machines including, graders, soil stabilisers, trucks, light vehicles, generators, plate compactors etc
• Carry out service and repairs in the workshop and in the field
• Rebuild machines components
• Attend to breakdowns
• Maintain a safety-first attitude

Qualification and Experience:

• Form 6 pass with relevant trade Certificate
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with sound mechanical knowledge
• Completion of Apprenticeship is essential
• Basic electrical knowledge will be an advantage
• Good knowledge and understanding of Occupational Health and Safety procedures
• Must have a valid driving license with clean record
