Electrical Buyer

Morris Hedstrom (MH) is Fiji’s largest wholesale and retail organization with a chain of Supermarkets and Homemaker (variety) Stores. We are now inviting applications for Electrical Buyer to be based in Suva.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with good buying skills and a high degree of business acumen.

Key accountabilities include:

• Sourcing the best and most cost effective suppliers to deliver results that will develop the company’s opportunities in the market
• Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers for electrical products
• Provide support and training to store staff to manage the purchasing performance and ensure product supply meets demand
• Make recommendation regarding, suppliers, range, price, availability, quality, packaging and marketing of electrical products
• Manage, improve and control the quality within the supply chain

The suitable candidate will have:

• Exceptional working knowledge and a passion for electrical products
• Confidence combined with negotiating, influencing and networking skills
• Customer focus with an ability to work well within a team environment
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to demonstrate attention to detail and creativity
