Job Description & Skills/Qualifications Required

Opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our project team based in Suva, working on this multi-staged upgrade of the Australian Defence Wharfs.

About the role

  • Cost control and contract administration
  • Management of procurement process and liaison with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Scoping and pricing head contract changes
  • Submission of variations
  • Cost reporting and forecasting
  • Process and reconciliation of payments

Here's what you will need

  • Proven quantity surveying experience in civil contracting, preferably as head contractor or major subcontractor
  • Experience with FIDIC, NEC3, NZS3916 or similar
  • Skilled in variation submissions, along with sound cost contract and contract administration experience
  • Highly analytical and organized, with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Working knowledge of HS&E requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Good working knowledge of Workbench and Kofax accounting systems.
  • Proven background in contractual negotiation and subcontractor management
